Winchester Cathedral Winchester District is one of the eight districts which make up the Winchester and Portsmouth Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers. Our territory stretches from Preston Candover (near Basingstoke) in the North and East, to West Tytherley (near Salisbury) in the West, and close to Southampton in the South.

The District includes some of the most beautiful and interesting parish churches and towers in the country and, of course, the sixteen bells of the great Cathedral Church of St. Peter, Paul and Swithun at Winchester.

Visitors are always most welcome to any ringing practice or event. We look forward to meeting you!

Winchester Cathedral Parking will be a challenge from now until Jan 4th while there is a skating rink in the Close. Visitors are advised to use the public park behid the Guildhall.

East Tytherley now have rope guides on the treble and 2, thanks one of the council grants available for small local projects.
Visitors are very welcome at practices (2nd and 4th Thursdays, 7.30pm to 9.00pm). There is no longer any need to be scared but you should ring for confirmation.
